The deployment only works if we are using built-in drivers from original Microsoft Windows Server 2019 install.wim. We also tried every version since 24.1 and found the same behavior for all versions. Before the system did the restart we also copy the INTEL 24.3 NIC driver on the drive and provide a unattend.xml.Īfter the system restarts and finished the operating system deployment the drivers are successfully installed (checked by device manager and checking file versions).īut the onboard NIC X722 shows a status of "Network Cable Unplugged".Īfter disabling and re-enabling the NIC it will detect a connection successfully and it looks like reliable. We are deploying the operating system using a WinPE and applying the install.wim by DISM. Additionally two 2-port X550 NICs are installed. The Wifi is an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC3165 using driver 18.30.0.We do have Fujitsu Primergy RX2540 M4 systems with two onboard X722 10Gbit/s NICs installed. The problem with the ethernet connection still persists. Eventually I got the wifi to stay up long enough to get a new wifi driver and the connection is now more reliable but not wholly so and the computer still sulks for a long time before rebooting. I tried the LAN connection but the network manager said it was unplugged. Shutting the power off caused a prolonged blank screen with just the power light on and then the computer eventuallyy rebooted itself. Using the network troubleshooter did not work and it was impossible to talk to the wifi adapter via the control panel or device manager. The connection kept crashing showing no internet connection available even when there was. I became aware of this problem when I first turned the machine on and found that the wifi connection was not reliable. The network manager reports that the ethernet cable is unplugged when it isn't. I have a similar problem with a new Pavilion.
